I love working with couples, families, individuals, adolescents, grade school children, and parents about their personal issues and emotional needs. I am a family therapist who believe most people can manage their own lives, except for those few times when life throws a curve ball, then we may have difficulty figuring how to handle that ball. We often find ourselves going in circles using old techniques and patterns that don't work . Let me help you step out of the repetitive loop by helping you identify the patterns and discover new ways to mange this particular ball.

I am an older Christian adult with personal experiences in divorce, raising children, being a grandparent, a 2nd long-term marriage, caregiver for my elderly parents, depression, familial abuse, anxiety, grief and disappointments. Through this, I have hope for the future, contentment, and joy with the many blessings I have received.

I have some tools that look at marital discord and communication, along with assessments for depression, anxiety, ADHD, anger and addiction. I offer a Weight Release and smoking cessation through hypnosis, relaxation, and hypnotherapy for past trauma with feelings of unworthiness, anger, shame and/or low self-esteem.

Almost everyone finds themselves where life is hard, where there is a need for some help to get unstuck, and to receive support. When we feel supported, we begin to feel more hopeful and to feel better. It is not easy to ask for help, it takes inner strength and courage. I work hard to create a nonjudgmental, safe, and supportive environment for you to get the help you need and deserve. I work with a variety of people dealing with many different issues and concerns.

SPECIALTIES: Anxiety, Abuse, Behavioral Issues, Depression, Divorce/Separation, Trauma (PTSD), Anger, Shame, Grief/Loss, Mood Disorders, Parenting, Pornography, Marriage Counseling and Individual Counseling (men and women). I work with children, adolescents, families, couples, and adults.

INSURANCE: I accept all major insurances and Kansas Medicaid. I'm an ordained pastor, having 20+ years of ministry experience working with a wide range of ethnic people. If desired, I am able to integrate faith into counseling. My office is located slightly north of State Avenue on 78th Street.
